Storyboard Text

  • Benvolio and Mercutio are out in public trying to look for Romeo. They do not know of Romeo's marriage with Juliet that happened last night. Mercutio is irratated because of the hot weather and he is itching for a fight.
  • I pray thee, good Mercutio let's retire: The day is hot, the Capulets abroad
  • Tybalt comes along Mercutio and Benvolio. Mercutio starts to tease and taunt Tybalt which adds to Tybalt's anger because he wants to find and fight Romeo.
  • Mercutio, thou consort'st with Romeo,
  • We talk here in the public haunt of men: Either withdraw unto some private place, Or reason coldly of your grievances, Or else depart;here all eyes gaze on us
  • Consort! what dost thou make us minstrels? an thou make minstrels of us, look to hear nothing but discords:here's my fiddlestick;here's that shall make you dance, 'Zounds, consort!
  • Romeo appears and Tybalt tries to start a fight with him. Romeo does not want to fight since he is now a cousin to him, but Mercutio wants to fight so he starts to annoy Tybalt even more. Benvolio is trying to prevent everything bad happening like always.
  • Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford no better term this,-thou art a villain
  • Tybalt, you rat-catcher, will you walk?
  • Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaining rage to such a greeting: villain am i none;
  • Mercutio annoys Tybalt to the point where he tries to fight him. Romeo try to stop the fight but when he gets in the way Tybalt stabs Mercutio and Mercutio dies
  • Ay, ay, a scratch, a scracth; marry, 'tis enough. Where is my page? Go, villain, fetch a surgeon
  • Gentle Mercutio, put thy rapier up
  • Romeo feels like he failed Mercutio so he draws out his sword and kills Tybalt. He believes that he had gone soft because of Juilet and Mercutio wouldn't have died if he wasn't soft so Tybalt's death was revenge for Mercutio
  • Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here, Shalt with him hence.
  • O sweet Juliet, Thy beauty hath made me effeminate and in my temper soften'd valour's steel!
  • This shall determine that.
  • Benvolio tells Romeo to run away before anyone finds this mess because its going to be a hard story to tell. Mercutio and Tybalt are both dead and Romeo runs to Frair Laurence's cell.
  • Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are up, and Tybalt slain. Stand not amazed: the Price will doom thee death, If thou art taken:hence, be gone, away!
  • O, I am fortune's fool!
