Ever wonder what the inside of the earth looks like, me too. Come with me I will show you.
Come on hop into this portal with teeth. Just trust me, it won't bite.
This is the crust, it is 100 km thick.
Here is where the Mantle, Lithosphere, and the Anthosphere meet. The Lithosphere is made of the crust and upper mantle. It is 300-500 degrees Celsius. The Anthosphere is the hot liquid layer in the lower mantle. It is 50-140 km thick. The Mantle holds the Lithosphere and the Anthosphere and is 2,900 km thick.
This is the outer core. It is 5,155 km thick.
This is the Inner Core. It is 6371 km thick. The core is constantly a solid object because of the immense pressure put on it by the other layers despite the temperature being as hot as the sun's surface. This will end our tour, please remain seated until the portal is fully stabilized.
