After faithful Johannes was resurrected and he put their heads back on, Hansel and Gretel ran away because of their father's actions.
After many wild adventures, Hansel went crazy, and turned into a beast, and was captured and brought to a nearby kingdom.
After they were separated, Gretel found village and went to a man's house. A woman at the house helped her hide. He turned out to be a murderer, and she reported him, and he was killed. She got a piece of twine from him that had healing abilities.
When the people at the kingdom realized that Hansel was a boy, a couple proceeded to take care of him. After a while, the man was gambling, and gambled away Hansel to the Devil. He had to go to hell.
After he met faithful Johannes on the way to hell, Faithful Johannes told Hansel that he needed to get three hairs from the devil, which he did by dressing up as the devils grandma, and once he got out, he had to help some cities he met on the way.
As gifts from the cities he helped, Hansel received golden apples and lots of wine. But these things did not lift his spirits, because he felt so bad about letting Gretel down. He was on his way back to the kingdom.
