Here where I live, there is not much rain. The plants need small amounts of water. The days are hot and the nights are cold. In the desert there is cactus, scrub plants, and grasses.
I live in the forest where there is plenty of water. There is a temperate climate. I am surrounded by lots of trees. The trees help produce oxygen that all living things need.
Where I live there is a large open area of country covered with grass. That is the plant that is seen the most; there is also wildflowers. There is not enough rain to grow a forest and too much rain to be a desert.
I live in land that is next to water source. It is soaked at least part of the year. Here you can find lots of water plants. The soil found here contains many minerals.
Here there is extreme weather conditions. Temperatures often remain very cold and harsh. There are only a few plants and animals that can survive here.
There is no vegetation here. It is described as a large stretch of glacier ice that covers the land all around it. You can find places like me in Greenland and Antarctica.
