  • Hey son, your not going to school today or I assume another 84 days
  • This corona pandemic is no joke!
  • yay!
  • Schools are being shutdown, and parents are having to educate their kids at home and many experts such as Dr. Isaac are telling people that long school shutdown can flatten the curve "His short answer is that schools should not reopen quickly, because, we would simply experience “another wave of the epidemic.”"
  • Lets stay at home!
  • Dr. Isaac says that the U.S should not reopen their economy as the disease has to be controlled first. "To save the U.S. economy, we must control this disease first. That is what China is going to achieve — even if they have already suffered a great deal economically due to COVID-19."
  • Man! Americans aren't ready for this virus
  • Dr. Isaac says that there are three goals to achieve against the virus which are, a complete block to all transmission, slow down of the spread, or protection of the elderly or sick. The interviewer asks the question is complete control of the virus acheievable?
  • oh no! a recession!
  • "We may be able to achieve goal B and thereby achieve goal C at the same time, if we implement social distancing measures at a magnitude that is large enough ... and we see that the author uses the word magnitude to emphasize the importance of social distancing
  • "I think that most Americans are psychologically not prepared for the calamity that is sweeping through their country right now. This lack of imagination, the failure to recognize what happened in China, Iran and Italy, can also happen here, will cost America dearly."
  • "Imagine what would happen to the U.S economy if New York city becomes Wuhan, and it seems to me it will happen very soon"- Dr.Isaac. We can see that this article is clearly written to show how dangerous the consequences can be.
