Hey, I have an idea!! I'll put this seed in the ground!
I must be one smart guy to come up with domesticating animals & planting crops!!
Yay!!! I have food now!
The next day...
I can't believe this was all because of Phil putting that seed in the ground!
This era was challenging. Everyone back then were nomads or people with no permanent home. All the men would go and hunt while the woman would go and collect wild plants. Many people and babies would die or have to migrate to new places when the food supply ran out.
Eventually, people evolved and started to tame animals and grow plants for food. Some of the very first animals to be domesticated were goats, cattle, pigs, and chickens. People also planted wheat, barley, and rice.
I have no friends!!!!
All of a sudden...>o<
People started building permanent villages after the discovery of agriculture because they had a sustainable food source. These villages were mainly built near rivers or wherever the ground was fertile enough for their crops.
As people grew their villages and communites, some people began inventing things for the benefits of everyone. These inventions, such as the ox-driven plow, gave people the particular skill to craft certain things that could then be traded for food or other resources.
I'll trade you my chicken for your cow!
Ever since people started farming, there had been a surplus of food. This meant people could live longer, because they had permanent homes and that increased the population from about 2 million people to 90 million people in the world.
Ever since the surplus of food I've had alot more friends!!
As people evolved, they also developed a need for rules, or laws. That also meant they needed leaders for their villages, to allow people to interact with each other, laws were made.
