Hey Robby! I just read this book that is really awesome, It talks all about what it takes to be a great person!
That sounds really interesting Jack! Tell me all about it in homeroom, I want to learn what it takes to be great so that I can help other people!
In "Meet Me At The Gates, Marcus James" by Chris Crutcher it seems to be trying to show greatness and how to stand up for people in most everything that Matt Miller does. In everything Matt does it shows how much he supports and believes in everything he does and says.
Woah that's really good stuff to learn Jack! Lets both try to do that throughout the school day today and be great people!
I... I don't know Jane... It's uh my Moms old shirt she gave me. sniff sniff
Hey Harper why're you always wearing such ugly clothes? I'd be embarrased if I were seen like that in public. hahahah
Hey Jane, Why're you picking on Harper! That is not nice at all! You should be ashamed of yourself. Harper are you gonna be okay? Can I do anything to help?
I think that would be a great idea Jack! That is very generous and great of you to offer! I will definitely look into that!
Hey Mr. T it seems like there are a lot of kids around that need help being happier and people need to just learn how to be nice to each other. I made some extra money this weekend and I was wondering if I could donate it to raise awareness for bullying.
What is something that we could do that would be great and help lots of people?
I think we should get a full school assembly and we can talk about how greatness is described in that book you read! Then we can give examples of ways the kids can show that greatness throughout the school!
"Hello fellow students, Robby and I have read a book about greatness called "Meet Me At The Gates Marcus James" It showed all throughout the story about how to show greatness and stand up for what you believe is right So when you see someone in the hall getting picked on, Don't just walk by and not help be a great person and help the poor kid out. We could use some more greatness in this school and it all starts with us. Lastly, Greatness is defined in the book as going out of your way for the better of everyone and showing that multiple times."
