  • The people of Uruk prayed to the goddess Aruru to get rid of the evil in Gilgamesh.

  • Enkidu was raised in the wild. He was sent to teach Gilgamesh to find love. They had a wrestling match. After they realized they were equal; they became best friends.
  • He was a loving king.

  • He was a good king.
  • After they killed Humbaba and became heroes, the goddess of love and war Ishtar fell in love with Gilgamesh but he rejected her. She sent a Bull from Heaven to fight them. Gilgamesh watched his friend die.

  • Gilgamesh is afraid of death so he goes to the Utnapishtim to find how to be immortal. He tells him about the great flood and how he was saved. He said only gods can grant immortality, but there was a plant that would give it to him. When Gilgamesh got the plant a snake ate it.
  • Gilgamesh realized that he is a mortal. He died a good, great, loving, and gentle king
