  • Martin Luther was a 16th century monk and theologian who lived in Germany.
  • He was one of the most influential figures in christianity, after he educated people about the bible by translating it into different languages.
  • The church was scamming people so he ignored them and sent the 95 Theses to their door, telling them his beliefs about the church.

  • He refused to back down so he was excommunicated by the church.
  • Through doing all this, he fractionalised the church and sparked the protestant reformation.
  • People were free to believe whatever they wanted. Martin Luther died of a stroke, February the 18th, 1546.
