Storyboard Text

  • HERE'S AN EXAMPLE....YOU SEE THIS BALL?
  • OHHHH!! I GET IT!
  • IT WILL KEEP MOVING UNTIL AN EXTERNAL FORCE, SUCH AS MY FOOT, STOPS IT!
  • THE SECOND LAW OF MOTION IS THAT ACCELERATION IS PRODUCED WHEN AN UNBALANCED FORCE ACTS ON AN OBJECT. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU USE THE SAME FORCE TO PUSH A WAGON AND A CARRIAGE, THE WAGON WILL HAVE MORE ACCELERATION, BECAUSE IT HAS LESS MASS!  FORCE EQUALS MASS TIMES ACCELERATION!
  • THAT MAKES SENSE! SO, WHAT'S YOUR 3RD LAW?
  • FOR EVERY ACTION, THERE IS AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION THAT ACTS WITH THE SAME MOMENTUM AND THE OPPOSITE VELOCITY.
  • IT'S LIKE WHEN YOU JUMP OFF A SMALL ROWING BOAT INTO THE WATER, YOU WILL PUSH YOURSELF FORWARD TOWARDS THE WATER. THE SAME FORCE YOU USED TO PUSH FORWARD WILL MAKE THE BOAT MOVE BACKWARDS!
  • OH WOW! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP! BYE!
  • MY PLEASURE. TOODLES!
