This contributes to the American Revolution a lot. They wanted to limit colonial expansion to settlers but the British wasn't a big fan of it so it wasn't policed by British troops. Because of so England got all control of westward expansion. This means that colonists were buying things illegally which lead to the British troops to go and start war. This contributed a lot because it lead to many more acts and big problems.
