Storyboard Text

  • Double, double toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble!
  • The Three Witches perform a spell and Hecate congratulates them for their efforts.
  • Macbeth arrives and asks the Three Witches to show them what will happen to him in the future. The witches show him three horrible apparitions to reveal their prophecies to him.
  • First, a floating head warns Macbeth to beware of Macduff.
  • A bloody child then appears and tells Macbeth that "none born of a woman shall harm Macbeth"
  • Next, a crowned child holding a tree tells Macbeth that he will be safe till Birnam Wood moves to Dunsinane Hill.
  • Lastly, a procession of eight crowned kings walks by, the last holding a mirror. Banquo's ghost walks at the end of the line.
