The weaving contest

Storyboard Text

  • Arachne is a girl who is very proud of her weaving skills . when the water and wood nymphs tell her that this is a gift from the god Minerva, she refuses and challenges Minerva to a contest.
  • Ha! Minerva has taught me nothing! Ive taught myself everything i know!
  • Minerva the goddess disguises herself as a woman and trys to warn Arachne to not challenge the goddess. Arachne becomes angry and says that if shes powrful she should come herself .
  • You don't need to tell me what i should do. If the goddess is strong let her come/
  • If i were you i would not compare myself to Minerva
  • On hearing this , Minerva transforms back and accepts the challenge.

  • Minerva asks her servants to prepare the looms and start the competition.
  • Servants! Prepare the looms.
  • They started to weave their dresses working very hard.
  • They both finish their dresses. Minerva makes a dress with the twelve gods but Arachne makes a dress showing their adventures as well and decorates them ivy and blossom.
