The Love Canal was supposed to be a place that was beautiful and full of life, however that did not happen.
The Love Canal was bought by another company and merely used as a chemical dumping ground.
The Love Canal was bought by the city for only a dollar. That was not a good deal.
The Love Canal was then used as homes for many families, however, that was not a good decision either.
It had a negative impact on those who lived there. When children went out to play, they would come back with burns and injuries from the chemicals.
It also had a negative impact on the environment around them, such as their homes. Their basements would collect with toxic puddles full of chemicals, as well as even on their front lawns.
Some living there even had defects in their children. From eye defects, to being deaf, etc. Some could have had an extra row of teeth.
This all continued until the residents were evacuated into safe, government bought homes.
