Storyboard Text

  • Young Darius was born into a poor family. The family was known for being kind hearted people and was known throughout the community. Sadly the family did no think they could take care of him so they left him on King Herald's doorstep.
  • Darius grew up to be a mighty warrior that gained respect from the King. Since he was known for being a fierce warrior, King Herald appointed him as the leader of the Army. Although he grew up to be cruel and cold hearted just like the king.
  • The army began a journey during the start of winter to reach an enemy that is far away. Unfortunately the winter was harsh and many of the men died from the cold. They had started with 20,000 men and by the end only 15,000 remained.
  • When they arrived they were severely outnumbered 2 to 1 with the enemy numbering well over 30,000. They were quickly wiped out and Darius got injured so they began their retreat.
  • FALL BACK!!! RETREAT!!! RETREAT!!!
  • They sought refuge in a small village where an old man agreed to take care of Darius while the men go back and get help from King Herald. Darius treated the man and his family terribly and when he healed from his wounds he went back to King Herald who was not pleased with Darius's out come of the battle and exiled him from the kingdom.
  • Darius sought exile in the same small village and found the man and apologized asking for a place to stay. Because the man was a kind hearted man he welcomed Darius in. Darius got to know them and found out that they were his parents. So when the parents found out they told him they were going to return to the palace because they are the king and Queen of the Army the that destroyed his army. Since he treated them so badly they decided his punishment was to stay in the village until the harvest was over.
