Howdy! My name is Michael DiAngelo and I want to tell you a story. A story about a valley and how it grew up all the way to this very day. But first, lets go to a more peaceful place.
Ah, that's better. Okay, now for the tale. Once upon a time, there was a very snowy mountain, Milo's mountain to be precise. One hot summer day, all the ice on the mountain peak melted and raced down the side in little branches. All these little streams were best buds, so they decided to form one big stream. Can you guess what that is? A river!
The river didn't stop when it reached the bottom of the mountain, because it had surge to go forward. So, the river carved, slowly but surely, into the land and followed its heart towards the unknown. FINALLY, after many years of pushing, the river became HUGE and it also picked up lots of sediment on its way. It also found out where that urge was coming from:the ocean! Yes, the river finally deposited all of its mates (the Sediment Boys) into the Big Blue as well. Now the sediment particles formed little sand bars while the river continued to flow into the ocean, making a delta.
