  • Robbie is a girl who lives on an island near Hawaii called the Midway Atoll and at the moment she is staying with her aunt AJ in her apartment in Honolulu
  • Climax
  • Robbie leaves early from Honolulu after she gets assaulted by a man who mistook her for someone else, however, no one knows that she has decided to leave early and as she's riding the cargo plane it crashes. This is character versus nature. This is and external conflict. The pilot has died and Robbie is alone on a raft in the middle of the ocean with the co-pilot from the plane. They have no water and their only food is a bag of Skittles. Max, the co-pilot is of almost no help to Robbie as he is strangely sleeping most of the time, while Robbie has to try to try to survive by fixing the raft trying to get water and other dangerous tasks.
  • Falling Action
  • Robbie pushes Max of the raft in an attempt to try and lose some of the weight on that is making them sink, but Max eventually finds his way back on to the raft. As Robbie and Max spot and island, a storm brews and Robbie is hurled on to the island. She is badly hurt and she starts to encounter many terrible things on the island, like starving birds a dying seals, but most of all, she realizes that Max never made it back on to the raft, and she's been hallucinating the whole time.
  • Resolution
  • Robbie sees a NOAA research ship that could be her only chance at survival, but at this point she doesn't know whether to be happy because she might be saved, or if she should just give up. As Robbie is passing out, she is saved by the crew members of the ship.
  • Robbie recovers from the terrible events that happened to her while on the island and the raft. Now in the safety of the ship Robbie is assured that it will be making a stop at the island, Midway Atoll, her home.
  • While Robbie is preparing to leave she is shown the torn up raft and the belongings on it. While searching through them, she finds a necklace of Max which leads her to believe that she might not have been hallucinating.
