Storyboard Text

  •     Water erosion and deposition.
  •       Wind erosion and deposition
  • Ice erosion and deposition
  • When water flows, it erodes rock nearby and deposits the rock in farther along the flow.
  • Gravity erosion and deposition
  • When wind blows against rock, it breaks off pieces of that rock and carries it away until it falls.
  • Physical Weathering
  • Glaciers pass through rock by shifting its large body of ice so that it takes off pieces of the rock it passes through and moves it elsewhere
  • Chemical Weathering
  • Gravity causes rock to slide down, depositing it in different locations, and slowly eroding chunks of rock that hangs or sticks out.
  • Physical weathering occurs when rock is split without changing its chemical composition.
  • Chemical weathering occurs when acid mixes with water and melts rock, which forms a cave, as the acid carves out the rock.
