Storyboard Text

  • I'm in!
  • Hey Brittney, it's Lindsey. Are you going to Jake's Halloween party tonight, I hear he wants to ask you out.
  • One pill and 30 min. later...
  • Hey Britt, you're lookin' hot. Speaking of hot, do you wanna turn up the heat?
  • A little ecstasy. C'mon, it doesn't bite.
  • Um, sure? But what did you have in mind?
  • Sure, I guess once won't do any harm.
  • On this mild hallucinogen, for three to four hours, Brittney will experience high energy, fluctuating emotions and connectedness to those around her. Brittney's sporadic dancing will lead her to become fatally dehydrated and she will soon overheat.
  • Is it hot in here, or is it just me?
  • I'm so happy, but also really want to cry
  • I love everyone here!
  • I can't wait for Jake to marry me!
  • Brittney's depression is due to ecstasy's effect of releasing stored serotonin and blocking its reuptake. Although she only took one dose, it caused permanent damage to her brain. The brain absorbed serotonin, leaving Brittney in a constant need for more. Luckily, Brittney is only overheated, but normally, death is a likely factor of being on ecstasy.
  • I hate my life. Why can't I ever be happy? WHY is it so HOT in here!?
  • 10 years later...
  • The constant use of this drug damages serotonin-producing neurons, leading to decreased output and high risk of permanent depression. Ecstasy impairs memory, suppresses the immune system, and disrupts the circadian cycle during sleep.
  • My life is over!
  • Where's Jake?
