From now on you will travel slowly across the sky, never again will the length of our day be dictated by you!
Before Maui did something about it, the sun would set just a few hours after it rose. Maui and his family had to rush to do their chores and eat dinner in the dark. Maui promised he would do something about it!
So Maui went to find the sun. Before it began to rise, he tied it down with ropes which angered the sun.
But Maui was angry too, and he convinced the sun to slow down. He used his magical jawbone to convince him...
