Talia is an over-weight 12 year old girl who is starting her first day of high-school.
Hey darling, please don't cry. You should never listen to the negative comments that bullies and mean people say. You are strong and you are a fighter! Next week is athletics week isn't it? Show those bullies how talented you are! And show me that beautiful smile.
She is very nervous and excited, however once she gets to school, children start calling her 'fat' and name calling her.
Wow! She's actually very good.
She begins to question why everyone is being mean to her and when she gets home, she starts crying and doubting herself.
Hey Talia, we're sorry for always calling you fat. We underestimated you and your talents and we think that you're a really good person and runner! Would you like to be our friend?
Her mother then talks to her about not letting the bullies affect her and to not worry about them. She also encourages her to participate in the school athletics day.
On the day of the Athletics, Talia participates in her race, winning first place for 100m and 200m sprint. She amazes her bullies.
After realising the past week that Talia is actually a very nice person, the bullies come up to her and apologise for underestimating her. They know that what they did was wrong so they ask her to be their friend.
