Edward III announces that he will be taking the thrown in France.
France and England dispute over who will be taking land and the title of King of France.
Philip VI of France takes Guienne, a piece land that Edward III of England owned. What Edward lll did because of this, begins the Hundred Years' War.
Over time as the war started, the French were losing very badly. The English had developed new weapons like the long bow and cannon that the French did not have. Years later after the war had been continuing, Henry V succeeds his father and become the King of England.
A peasant girl named, Joan of Arch, hears voices telling her to help the siege of Orleans
Joan of Arc gets to meet with Charles VII and persuades him to let her aid the French.
Joan of Arch, God has given you a task and wants you to lead the French to Victory.
Joan of Arc leads French forces to victory. She is then captured in a skirmish and handed over to the English. After she was captured, she was tried by the Inquisition and burned with a stake for being a heretic.
Charles VII marks the end of the French civil war. The French bring two small cannons on to the battlefield which help the French obtain a victory. The French win a battle at Castillon, gaining the last stronghold held by the English in France.
Charles VII rebuilt Aquitaine and Normandy, bringing the Hundred Years' War to an end. Edward IV landed at Calais with a large army, but he is bought off with a bribe. By doing this he stopped his attempt to revive the Hundred Years' War.
