Describe the Etruscan influence of sports on the Romans
Rome is located on the Italian peninsula near the Tiber River. Italy is a very mountainous part of Europe because it is home to 2 major mountain ranges.
The princess's uncle exiled her from the kingdom. Her uncle was the king. the princess had twins with Mars the god of war. The twins were ordered to be drowned. A wolf plucked the babies form the Tiber River. The boys grew up and built a town on the river. Romulus killed Remus.
Greek influence of architecture on the Roman civilization
Romans learned techniques about engineering from the Etruscans. Two important Etruscan structures the Romans adapted were the arch and the cuniculus. Etruscan arches rested on two pillars. The pillars supported a half-circle of wedge-shaped stones. A keystone in the center held the other stones of the arch tightly in place.
Greek influence of writing, art, and religion on the Romans
Rome developed two deadly sports from the Estrucans. The sports were slave fighting and chariot racing.
The Romans used columns in their buildings, they learned this from the Greeks. An excellent example of this is the Colosseum an ancient stadium, that held slave fights and chariot races.
Like the Greeks, the Romans wrote in all capital letters. The Romans copied the Greek technique for making pottery.
