The School of Athens
Like this, but more greek
Why is he a humanist?
Raphael was born in Italy a few years after Michelangelo and Leonardo, and so looked up to them for inspiration.
Raphael's greatest work, the School of Athens, portrays a gathering of the greatest minds, including himself, Michelangelo, da Vinci, and other great minds.
Raphael is a Humanist because he lives in the moment. He includes himself and those he looks up to in is works to show that he can be who he wants to be.
