  • Rising Action
  • I'm not hungry
  • In the background of the story, we are introduced to the main characters Mary Malone and her husband Patrick. Mary is expecting their first child.
  • Climax
  • I've killed him
  • The story takes place in Mary's house, where Patrick is acting rather strange. In the Rising Action of the story is when Patrick breaks the news that he is leaving Mary. He knows its bad timing and therefore gives her money so that she is taken care of.
  • Falling Action
  • Mary denies what her husband has just told her is not true so she goes to the kitchen to make dinner. The first thing she takes out of the freezer is a leg of lamb. She carries the leg of lamb and sees her husband leaving and insists he is not hungry.
  • Resolution
  • haha!
  • The weapon is probably right under our nose, I can smell it
  • The Climax of the story is when Mary kills her husband. She hits him at the back of the head with the frozen leg of lamb and he falls to the ground. She then puts the lamb in the oven.
  • In the Falling Action, Mary pretends she didn't kill her husband so that she doesn't caught. She calls the police and tells them she found her husband dead. They don't suspect Mary and they search the house for the weapon.
  • In the Plot Twist, Mary insists the police eat the leg of lamb so they don't suspect anything and the evidence is destroyed. As they eat in the kitchen, Mary starts laughing.
