Last weekend my friends Rose and John went to a party out of town together I met them there. We were having a good time, we were drinking and dancing.
Stop the car! you are to drunk to drive, let us out.
After a few hours they party stared to get a bit rowdy so we decided to leave.
We need an ambulance to Park St now! There has been an accident
I needed a lift home because my parents were out of town, John said he was fine to drive he had only had a few drinks and seemed to be steady. As we were walking to the car I saw him stumble but I was scared to stay at the party so I pretended not to see it.
Not a day goes by that I don't regret getting into that car. Road safety is an imported issue.
I saw Johns eyes closing and the car started to swerve. We needed to get out this wasn't safe at all.
The car went full speed into a tree, Rose went flying she didn't have her seatbelt on. When the ambulance got to the scene Rose was unconscious and bleeding a lot, she was rushed to the hospital. we all had injures but Roses were the worst.
Rose didn't make it, she died that night. it was the worst mistake of my life. Now I go to schools to spread awareness around safe driving. I tell my story to kids all over Australia to try to create a safer road.
