Storyboard Text

  • The title "The Roaring Twenties" makes me feel like the poem is talking about all the important things that happened in the twenties
  • The poem shows both sides of the roaring twenties, the money depression side and the side where all the people were having fun.And how people ignored the money problem until it was too late
  • When Wall Street crumbled it drowned out the roar that had been happening
  • WALL STREET CLOSED
  • We want our money back!!!
  • The Attitude of the poem is very contrasting, because it shows the good side and the bad side of the 20's. A shift occurs in each passage when the writer switches from the good to the bad.
  • Now I think that the author is trying to tell the reader about both the good roar and the bad roar of the twenties.
  • The theme of the poem is that people are oblivious and ignore the problem until it is too late. The speaker is saying that we should pay more attention to what is going on around us.
