  • Ma’am, what are these Newton’s three laws of motion?
  • Newton’s first LAW OF MOTION
  • The Newton’s first law of motion states that an object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will continue in it’s state of motion with the same velocity until and unless it is opposed by an external unbalanced force.
  • Have you ever heard the term “LAW OF INERTIA”? It is nothing but the Newton’s first law of motion
  • NeWTON’s second Law of MOTION
  • Ma’am, then what’s the Newton’s second law of motion?
  • NeWTON’s second LAW OF MOTION
  • The Newton’s second law of motion states that when force is applied on a mass, acceleration is produced. This can be simply written as a mathematical equation: F (force) = M (mass) * A (acceleration). Also, remember that force is directly proportional to mass, if the mass of an object increases, the amount of force must be applied to cover the same distance also increases.

  • And ma’am, what is the Newton’s third law of motion?
  • NeWTON’s third LAW OF MOTION
  • The Newton’s third law of motion states that every action has a reaction which is equal in size and opposite in direction. Launching a rocket, swimming, dribbling a ball, etc are few examples of it.
  • Most of you might unknowingly know it but not as Newton’s third law of motion, rather heard someone saying every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
