How horrible! This latest article really emphasises the need for better treatment of factory workers, I must somehow help.
And so, Lord Shaftesbury decided the best way he could was to join parliament, in the hope he could create laws to lessen the suffering of poor factory workers.

I stand here as I am sick of all the suffering. As a child, I was abused by my father and have a great understanding of how painful suffering can be so I want to create laws to make a real difference.
