This is unfair! We don't have space to house soldiers!
You have to unless you want the King to tax you even more!
First Continental Congress
The British are treating us like children!
We should send another treaty!
Why should we? They have never done anything for us!
We should send another treaty and give them another chance.
Writs of Assistance
It's the middle of the night! You have woken up my whole family!
You have no choice!
You have to let us search this house.
Colonists were forced to house British soldiers and many thought it was an act of intimidation by the British so they couldn't complain which upset them.
This event is significant because the colonists were finally working together to find a solution to the British's mistreatment.
The Writs of Assistance allowed soldiers to enter and search the colonist's homes without a search warrant which angered the colonists because of how the British were abusing their power and treating them like children.
