Storyboard Text

  • A Christmas Carol
  • Specter, something informs me that our parting moment is at hand. I know it, but I know not how.
  • Tell me what that man was, with the covered face, whom we saw lying dead?
  • Rising Action
  • Before I draw nearer to that stone to which you point, answer me one question. Are these shadows of the things that will be, or are they shadows of the things that may be only?
  • Climax
  • Am I that man who lay upon the bed? No, Spirit! Oh no, no!
  • Spirit! Hear me! I am not the man I was. I will not be the man I must have been but for this intercourse.
  • EXPOSITION Characters: Ebenezer Scrooge, Ghost of Christmas Future Setting: London Time: 1873
  • Falling Action
  • I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, Present, and the Future. The spirits of all three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach.
  • The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come leads Scrooge to a wretched, ruinous, churchyard. Before they visit it, Scrooge asks a question.
  • Falling Action II
  • Scrooge sees his own name and starts convincing the phantom that he was not the man was before. He also promises to honor Christmas with all his heart.
  • Resolution
  • Look who showed up! Hello there, Uncle Scrooge!
  • Scrooge wants to erase his name off of the grave, but the phantom disappears too quickly.
  • Scrooge is sent back to the present. He finds out that the day is Christmas and he is going to apply the changes he has promised to do.
  • Because of the appearances of the spirits, their lessons affected Scrooge greatly. Ebenezer Scrooge was a new man. He was filled with the Christmas spirit.
