Odysseus and his men arrive at the and of the Cyclops.
"...as for myself I took my twelve best fighters and went ahead."(Homer 1214).
Odysseus takes his men to see what was in the land of the Cyclops.;
Odysseus and his men escape from the cave after killing the sight of the cyclops.
"I tied them silently together, twining cords of willow from the orge's bed: then slug a man under each middle one to ride them there safely, shielded left and right"(Homer 1220).
Odysseus taunts the cyclops as he and his men made their escape.
"O Cyclops! Would you feast on my comparisons?...Zeus and the gods have paid you!" (Homer 1221).
"The blind thing in his doubled fury broke a hilltop in his hands and heaved it after us"(Homer 1221).
