  • It starts with volcanos
  • Igneous rocks can form from magma or lava
  • Intrusive Rocks form inside the volcano from magma
  • They take a long time to form but they have big crystals
  • Extrusive Rocks form outside the volcano from Lava
  • They form quickly and have smaller crystals or none at all
  • An example of an Intrusive Rock is Granite
  • Granite contains Feldspar, Mica, Hornblende, and Quartz
  • You can easily see the crystals and minerals in it
  • An example of an Extrusive rock is Obsidian. 
  • Obsidian has no crystals
