If only the murder of King Duncan could go through without any repercussions, I would gladly do it. But alas, such violent acts only encourages others to do so as well.
I play two roles in relation to Duncan: his royal subject, and his host. I should be protect him as his host, not bear the dagger in my hand.
I can not go through with our plans, Duncan has just honored me.
Were you drunk when you made plans to kill Duncan? What beast has taken control of you for you to back out on them? I would kill my own child if I had promised upon it!
We shall not fail, I will get the two chamberlains drunk, making them seem responsible for his death. Our tears and grief will help our case even more.
But what if we are to fail?
Fine, I shall be fully committed to our plan. Go now, act as hostess and hide your true intentions with a fake innocence.
