Etna The Volcano
This is Etna the Volcano. He is an old volcano that was born all the way back in 1500BC. Since his birth he has erupted 189 times. This marks his 190th erutption! Happy Eruption Etna!
But with him being so old you begin to wonder... How was Etna Born?
To understand how he was born we first need to know that underneath the Earth are "plates" called Tectonic Plates. These plates tend to move and hit eachother, colliding and doing other wacky stuff.
Etna was created because 2000 years ago, an underwater plate began to travel under a plate on land (also called subducton)!
This soon created the Etna that we know and love today!
