The first war started because Rome wanted Sicily's granaries. Rome created a bridge called a corvus, which then allowed them to win the war. Since Rome won, they got Sicily's granaries.
After Rome signed a peace treaty, the leader of Carthage surprise attacked Rome. Rome wanted Sicily. Because they won the war, they got money, gold, silver, copper, and land.
The third war started because Rome came back and attacked Carthage. During war, they burned the fields. Rome won the last war. Rome soon controlled the Mediterranean Sea.
