Storyboard Text

  • Honors English...where to begin? How about Tuesday, September 11, 2017. The day that I thought my prospects for college were definitely over.
  • Is our society succeeding or failing? DUE TOMORROW!
  • Not many of the students believed they would do well. In fact, like me, they thought they were sure to fail this class.
  • Am I a right fit for honors?
  • ??????!!!!!!!!
  • I have so much work to do. How will I ever get this done?
  • I got home late at night after field hockey and had an emotional breakdown. Was this much homework to be expected all year?
  • 11:19 P.M. I finish the English assignment after nearly four hours. 1:00 A.M. I give up on life and go to bed. 5:00 A.M. I wake up to finish the rest of my homework before I need to officially wake up.
  • The day finally comes when my grade is posted. Although I kept telling myself I wouldn't check it, I did. Low and behold-I hadn't failed!
  • 36/40
  • It was then that I realized an honors class might not be so bad. Sure, it would require a lot of effort, but I was willing to put in the work. With determination and hard work, I believed I would make it out alive.
