In February, the men are working operations along the South China Sea and a Army dentist is flown in to review the squads dental health. As the squad gets reviewed one at a time, Lemon begins to get anxious and confesses that he has had bad high school experiences with dentists and goes on to stubbornly state that he no one messes with his teeth and that he refuses to enter the tent.
When time comes and the dentists calls on him, he faints before the dentist can begin his examination
Later that evening he goes back into the dental tent and insists that he has a painful toothache, even though the dentist can’t find root of the pain and the problem, Lemon demands to get the tooth removed. Finally, the dentist complies to Lemons demands and pulls out a healthy tooth to Lemon’s satisfaction.
