Earth became very damaged and too polluted for human life. All of the governments in the world came together and made a decision have the population go into hibernation for 100 years. This would give the earth a chance to heal itself. John, an intelligent scientist, was one of the last to enter his hibernation pod.
Finally! I'm done!
One night during a powerful storm, a lightning bolt struck the building. Against great odds, it miraculously struck John's hibernation pod. The strong electric shock created a power surge in the control panel, causing it to break.
See ya later Earth!
John woke up to an awful beeping noise that filled the entire room. After glancing at the control panel, he saw that it was broken. John spent over 10 months trying to teach himself basic mechanical skills. On the anniversary of exactly one year of being awake, he found a blueprint of how to make a hibernation pod.
We have to be extremely careful when loading them onto the aircraft.
Although it was a long and difficult process, John worked everyday up until he finally finished remaking his hibernation pod. This meant that John could go back to sleep and wake up with everyone else in 99 years.
I'm going back to sleep!
John walked along the streets, for it would be many years until he saw the dark grey skies and the empty buildings again. John sat on a nearby bench and looked at the destroyed city, at least what was left it.He yelled as loud as he could and made a great deal of saying his goodbyes.
As John walked back into his storage room, he saw two aliens talking about how they were going to take over the Earth. They were going to make sure all of the humans were asleep and dispose of them properly. After he heard this, he gaped at the sight of real aliens. John ran as fast as he could and never looked back.
I agree. Once their gone, we can live peacefully in our new world.
