Storyboard Text

  • Pathos
  • Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than Caesar were dead, to live all free men?
  • Ethos
  • There is tears for his love; joy for his fortune; honour for his valour; and dealth for his ambition
  • Logos
  • I have the same dagger for myself, when it shall please my country to need my death
  • This is an example of ethos because it brings emotion to the crowd who he is speaking to. Brutus is basically saying that if he didn't kill Caesar that they would all become slaves.
  • This is an example of ethos because Brutus was friends with Caesar. Brutus knew Caesar and knew how Caesar really was.
  • This is an example of logos because in this sentence, his last sentence, Brutus is summing up his whole speech.
