Through my marriage, my wife and I had many different pets, my favorite of which was my big black cat Pluto. We had a mutual love for each other and even when I drunkenly mistreated my other pets, I did not harm my Pluto.
One night in my drunken haze, I became angry and cut out Pluto's eye by means of a pocket knife. He began to avoid me and I felt guilty for my dark deed so I decided to hang him.
The next night I awoke to a fire. My wife, a servant and I were able to escape in time. All of my worldly wealth was now gone, and only one thing remained; a single wall. You will not believe me if I tell you this, but I saw the outline of a cat in the wall! It must have just been stuck between the plaster that melted in the fire.
I was in a bar one night drinking when I saw a large cat. It resembled Pluto in every way; it was even missing an eye. The only difference was a large white mark on its chest. The bartender didn't know it so I decided to take it home. My wife grew fond of it and it grew fond of us. It began to follow me around and I became annoyed with it.
One night as we descended into the cellar to do some chores, the cat got in my way. In a fit of rage, I grabbed a nearby axe to murder the beast. As I was about to finish him, my wife stoped me. I whirled around and smashed it through her skull. I hid the body in a walled up fireplace feeling no grief. After I had finished, you could not distinguish the disturbed area. After that night I never saw the beast and it made me so happy that I almost went insane.
After the fourth day, the police cam to my home to continue their investigation. I was very confident and after their search, I rapped the wall where my wife was concealed to show how sturdy and solid they were. Suddenly a loud groan from within the wall was hear and the cat emerged with blood on its mouth. I was arrested at that point and sentenced to death.
