  • Battle of Saratoga
  • On August 27, 1776, Sir Willian Howe, along with his army, invaded Brooklyn and fought with George Washington and the militia men. Outnumbered, Geroge Washington and his troops lost to the British, which marked the end of the first war after the Declaration of Independence
  • Winter at Valley Forge
  • The battle of Trenton and The battle of Princeton was a very important turning point for the Americans. Both of the battles took place in new jersey and in extremely harsh weather conditions. Geroge Washington took to surprise the British, which helped the Americans win both battles, gaining both hope and spirit for the soldiers
  • Guilford Courthouse
  • Low on supplies, Burgoyne could not wait any longer for the reinforecments. Instead, he sent 1,500 soldiers to ambush the Americans
  • The Battle of /Siege of Yorktown
  • Soldiers training at Valley Forge had to endure sickness, cold weather, and shortages of food while training with George Washington and Baron Von Stueben
  • The British General, Charles Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington 
  • The Americans won the last battle that was the key to their freedom
