a comic strip based on the essay I should probably write
My name is Sylvia Bell. I am a female loyalist. I traveled from the city of Liverpool, England to Newport, Rhode Island with my husband, Phyllis Bell. We originally moved for a chance to further my husband’s financial opportunity in the business of trade but quickly stayed to take full advantage of what the colonies had to offer.
Here in Newport is where I met my lover, Darius Lyman, while my husband was at work. We met 6 months before the war began and have held passionate affairs until he joined a militia to fight for the independence of the colonies.
I write to him often and secretly send my letters through my house slave, who was given the English name Ruth by her former masters.
I will watch the colonists become enraged over taxation through riots, such as the burning of Gaspee in Rhode Island.
I will write about the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
I will warn of my husband's ramblings about spies and all that happened during the Battles of Trenton and Princeton.
