Storyboard Text

  • Exsposition
  • I have Amontillado.
  • Rising Action 1
  • Wait never mind, you obviously have a lot to do, I'll just have Luchressi try it.
  • No it is alright, let us go to the catacombs.
  • Rising Action 2
  • And I to your long life.
  • Let us drink to the Amontillado!
  • Ha! You fell for my trick!
  • Background: Fortunato insulted Montressor and now Montressor vows revenge.Montressor encounters Fortunato at the carnival and tells him he has a case of Amontillado. Fortunato is instantly intrigued.
  • Climax
  • *jingling of bells*
  • Montressor uses Lecressi to manipulate Fortunato into following him to the catacombs. Fortunto is already quite drunk which works out for Montressor. Montressor compliments Fortunato. They start walking towards the cataombs.
  • Falling Action
  • AHHH!
  • Once in the catacombs, the nitre on the wall is making Fortunato's cough worse. Montressor is continuously giving Fortunato more wine to make him more drunk. Montressor starts to tell Fortunato to go back because his cold is getting worse. As they walk deeper into the catacombs they finally reach the deepest part.
  • Resolution
  • When they reach the deepest part of the cave, Montressor chains Fortunato to the wall. Montressor had a pile of bricks that he had left there because he planned the muder. Fortunato begins to sober up.
  • Fortunato starts jangling his chains and screaming. Montressor screams back. Before Montressor puts the last block in he gets a last look at Fortunato. Then Fortuato dies by suffocation and his bells start jingling.
  • Montressor told his son what he did 50 years ago. No one has found Fortunato. Montresssor had done the horrible thing half a century ago. The internal conflict is Montressor's need for revenge on Fortunato. The theme is the need for revenge is a very strong motivator.
  • Its time I tell you something, but just know I had a purpose.
