Muhammad became an orphan at a very young age and was raised by his grandfather and uncle.
Muhammad became a merchant after growing up and married a woman named Khadija.
Muhammad started frequently meditating. One day when he was 40, he saw revelations of the word of Allah from the angel Gabriel.
He wanted to preach these revelations in his homeland of Mecca but was rejected by the city. He then fled to Medina to look for more converts.
Muhammad preached in Medina and gained many converts. He then went to war against Mecca in an attempt to gain followers and ended up winning.
Muhammad later died at the age of 63. His followers wrote down all his revelations onto palm leaves and they became the basis of the Quran.
