  • It is in the future and everyone is equal. People wear handicaps in order to be equal. A couple named Hazel and George are watching a ballet on TV. 
  • Falling Action
  • Hazel and George are watching TV and their son Harrison has broken out of jail and broke into the TV studio. He is considered dangerous because he removed all of his handicaps. He starts dancing with a ballerina in no gravity. 
  • Resolution
  • The handicapper general comes out to shoot Harrison with a double barrel shot gun.  Harrison and the ballerina both die. 
  • Literary Term: Simile
  • Your hair is as soft as silk. 
  • Hazel starts to cry because she saw her son die on the TV. Since she forgets easily,  when George asks her why she´s crying she forgets. 
  • George tells her to forget sad things and life turns back to normal and society remains average.
  • A simile is when you are comparing things using like or as.
