  • Hunters were men who killed animals to eat millions of years b.c. In this picture hunters are trying to kill a bull.
  • Gatherers were girls that collected fruits and vegetables from plants and trees.
  • Gatherers also made clothing and blankets and cooked.
  • Yes! We figured out how to grow our own crops. Now we can grow more than we need and save some.
  • Settling by a river makes it easier to grow crops and you can fish. You can also go out hunting when you need it while settling in one place. And you can capture animals and breed them so you have meat to eat and save some.
  • Since you can now stay in one place there were communities that had a population of thousands of people. Their houses were made out of adobe bricks.
  • There are so many crops that we can store some for winter.
  • Indians also captured animals and kept them in fields and killed them when they needed. This is an example of one of the surpluses they had. They also made clothes out of the animals' fur.
