Immigration didn't become a serious issue in federal and national legislature until the past 30yrs.
Is Immigration an issue? -some people claim it takes away jobs and benefits from citizens. -Others say that it helps boost our economy, and is needed for economic stability.
What is wrong with the U.S. Immigration Policy? -Fails to meet needs from state to state. -The citizenship process is too long and expensive.
So how do we fix our issues regarding immigration?
Don't build a wall, instead use money to fund programs needed to help integrate immigrants into their communities.
Establish a simple, merit-based immigration system.
Make citizenship process faster and cheaper.
