Storyboard Text

  • The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • Gatsby stands there looking across the bay dreaming of being with Daisy once again. That green light is what is most significant to Gatsby.
  • Nick comes home irritated after the little dinner with Tom and Daisy.
  • As Nick comes out, he sees, his neighbor, Gatsby standing with his arms stretched out towards the seawater.
  • Nick wonders what Gatsby was doing but he soon then disappeared before he could greet him.
  • Nick realizes Gatsby was reaching out towards a fairly, dim, green light as if he was trying to catch it.
