Math has been very similar for both years. In terms of homework, we've got about the same amount each year.
In this course we are applying most of what we learned from grade 9 and taking it to a more challenging level. We also learned some new skills from the units we've done for example the rational functions, holes and asymptotes.
One of my goals in the course is to work on problem solving. I want to be able to do an explore activity without the help of a teacher. I want to be able to pick out the key facts my-self and understand it. This is important because it helps me become more independent.
To reach this goal, so far I have tried using different math strategies to figure out what I am doing. I organize my thoughts by outlining what I already know, what I need to find out and possible solutions. I also discuss finding with a friend.
In this semester something I am having trouble with is managing time. I have a new French teacher and it is challenging to adapt to her ways. I am also getting a lot of homework from other subjects and sometimes it's hard to balance everything. I also do extra curricular's and sometimes I have to just rush through all my work.
I like all your notes on the lesson and all the key ideas you write on the smart board. That helps me personally follow along, since im a visual learner.
Sometimes during the lessons I get confused on what your wrote and why you wrote it. Something that you could possibly do to help us is by briefly explaining us what you wrote and why you wrote it. Its only the minor things that create this confusion but if you could explain this it would help us improve.
